- Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information.

2. Form Submission Data
When you create hosted forms, submissions from your users are stored on our servers:
- You are the data controller for submission data collected through your forms.
- We act as a data processor and store this data on your behalf.
- Submission data is retained according to your subscription tier and settings.
- You may export or delete submission data at any time through your dashboard.
- You are responsible for ensuring your forms comply with applicable privacy laws.
3. How We Use Your Information

By creating an account with Formatic, you consent to receive marketing and promotional communications from us, including:

6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure, so we encourage safe practices on your end as well.
7. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after account deletion to allow for recovery. After 30 days, account data is permanently deleted.
- Form submission data: Retained according to your subscription tier settings. Free tier: 90 days. Starter tier: 1 year. Pro tier: unlimited (until you delete it).
- Usage logs: Retained for 12 months for security and analytics purposes.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations.
- If you cancel your account, you may request immediate deletion of all data by contacting us at support@formatic.dev.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain processing activities

9. Children's Privacy
Formatic is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If discovered, the data will be deleted immediately.
10. International Users
By using Formatic from outside Canada, you consent to processing and storing your data in our Canadian and/or international infrastructure. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
11. European Users (GDPR)
